Super excited to foster this girl and can't wait to meet her little kitties! Apparently my husband was working behind the scenes to make this happen all while I was hoping for a CDS delivery.

She hid under the couch for the first day but came out for scratches and cuddles last night. She is so sweet.

She was rescued from a hoarders house that fed her ramen noodles because they were feeding the cat food that was donated to them to the dogs The rescue set us up with everything we could possibly need.

We are calling her Maya in honor of a dog friend of ours that is moving away. I hope this is just the first of many foster mommas in our lives.

TheSwearJarlsMy401k If they were feeding her ramen noodles, be prepared for kitten loss. I know that's not what you want to hear, but that kind of nutrient deprivation while pregnant causes all kinds of developmental problems. No matter what happens, you have done your best, you've given mama and babies love and hope, and that's the best anyone can do. I hope they're all in good health and in good shape!

Martha MatildaOToole OP Oh yeah they said that could happen she is very skinny. I will try not to get too excited bc that would be heartbreaking but we will definitely do our best. She's got 4 kinds of food out for her now, trying to fatten her up. Thank you for the tips!!

AudioxBlood Can you not take her in for a spay abort? Instead of her going through birth to bring more cats into the world when there is already too many, knowing her malnutrition before coming to you could do serious damage to the kittens or her.

Martha MatildaOToole OP I'm just following instructions from the rescue.

DiveCat Under all that floof, she looks pretty young herself. Thank you to you and your husband for fostering this sweetheart. I hope the birth goes well and babies are okay, but as you have been told no matter what you have this mama a safe place to stay and saved her.
